Open diagnostics are not simply cheaper models. They are clinical systems designed around inspectability, local validation, and the ability for teams to understand when a tool should not be trusted.

A more useful definition of access

For WETBIT Journal, access means more than removing a paywall. Methods, data assumptions, and deployment constraints need to be legible enough for researchers, clinicians, and learners to interrogate the work.

This issue focuses on research that can travel: systems that remain meaningful outside resource-rich centers, and findings that make room for local expertise.
